CSV ORDER REPORT KIT
Free preview of the outputs
By Oleh Boiko

Open sample_report/Order_Report.xlsx to see the finished report. You do
not need Python to inspect this preview. It contains fictional data and
saved results, not the runnable tool. Editing the CSV will not update it.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 26 ROWS

16 accepted orders contribute to the totals.
2 exact duplicate copies are left out.
8 other rows are rejected and show a reason.

The 16 accepted orders contain 48 units and USD 973.69 in revenue.
Revenue means quantity multiplied by unit price. Taxes, shipping,
discounts and profit are outside this example.

CHECK THE RESULT

1. Open the Summary sheet for the totals. The three monthly amounts
are USD 249.79, 296.40 and 427.50. Their sum is USD 973.69.

2. On Accepted orders, find R1001. It points to source row 2 in orders.csv,
   counting the header as row 1. The calculation is 3 x 12.50 = 37.50.
Each accepted order keeps this link to its original row number.

3. On Exceptions, source row 18 is an extra copy of source row 4.
Source row 22 has the impossible date 2026-02-30. These rows do not
contribute to revenue. Both conflicting versions of R1017 are also
withheld rather than choosing one silently.

THE OTHER FILES

orders.csv is the original fictional input.
sample_report/Source_Orders.csv is its exact saved copy.
Accepted_Orders.csv and Exceptions.csv hold the same row-level results
as the corresponding workbook sheets. Report_Data.json holds exact
totals and Original_Rows.json keeps the original parsed text values.

FULL VERSION

The full kit is USD 19 and includes Python source, automated checks,
a blank input template and a setup guide. It requires Python 3.10+
and openpyxl. Reports run locally after setup.

The input must use this exact six-column format
order_id,order_date,category,quantity,unit_price,currency

It accepts USD and the categories Stationery, Home and Accessories,
up to 10,000 records. Other currencies, categories and shop export
formats need code changes. This is not a universal CSV converter.
The workbook stores results. Run the full tool again to refresh them.
